The meeting, held on 15th August 2021, was attended by top government officials, industry leaders, and experts from various fields. The aim of this task force is to identify key areas that require reforms and to come up with a comprehensive plan to implement them.

In his opening remarks, the Prime Minister emphasized the need for continuous reforms to keep up with the changing times and to make India a global leader. He stated that the world is rapidly evolving, and India must adapt to the changing dynamics to stay ahead. The Prime Minister also highlighted the importance of involving all stakeholders in the decision-making process to ensure the success of these reforms.

The task force has been formed with a diverse group of members, including government officials, economists, industry leaders, and subject matter experts. This diverse representation ensures that all aspects of the economy and society are taken into consideration while formulating the reforms. The task force will also seek inputs from various stakeholders, including the public, to ensure that the reforms are inclusive and beneficial for all.

One of the key areas that the task force will focus on is the ease of doing business in India. The Prime Minister has set a target of India being in the top 50 countries in the World Bank’s Ease of Doing Business rankings. Currently, India ranks 63rd in the list, and the government is determined to improve this ranking by implementing necessary reforms. The task force will also look into other areas such as taxation, infrastructure, and regulatory framework to make India a more business-friendly destination.

Another crucial aspect that the task force will address is the education sector. The Prime Minister stressed the need to revamp the education system to make it more relevant to the current times. He also emphasized the importance of skill development to make the youth employable and to bridge the gap between demand and supply of skilled workforce. The task force will work towards creating a roadmap for the education sector, keeping in mind the changing job market and technological advancements.

The task force will also focus on the healthcare sector, which has been under immense pressure due to the ongoing pandemic. The Prime Minister highlighted the need to strengthen the healthcare infrastructure and to make it more accessible and affordable for all. The task force will explore ways to improve the healthcare system and make it more resilient to future challenges.

The meeting also discussed the need for environmental sustainability and the role of technology in achieving it. The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of sustainable development and the need to balance economic growth with environmental conservation. The task force will explore ways to promote the use of clean and renewable energy and to reduce the carbon footprint of industries.

The Prime Minister also stressed the need to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in the country. He stated that the government is committed to creating a conducive environment for startups and small businesses to thrive. The task force will work towards creating policies and initiatives to support and encourage innovation and entrepreneurship in the country.

The meeting concluded with the Prime Minister expressing his confidence in the task force and their ability to come up with a comprehensive plan for next-generation reforms. He urged the members to work towards achieving the goal of making India a global leader in all aspects.
