The second weekend of the high school football season saw some impressive performances from some of the top teams in the state. Wilcox, Las Lomas, Christopher, Evergreen Valley, and Los Altos all came away with big wins, showcasing their talent and determination on the field.

The Wilcox Chargers started off their season with a bang, defeating Milpitas 35-7 in an impressive display of skill and teamwork. Led by quarterback Alex Adame, who threw for 220 yards and three touchdowns, the Chargers dominated the game from start to finish. The defense also played a crucial role, holding Milpitas to just one touchdown and forcing multiple turnovers. Evergreen Valley also had a successful weekend, defeating Irvington by a score of 24-14. The Cougars’ offense was led by quarterback Alex Nguyen, who threw for two touchdowns, and running back Ethan Huynh, who rushed for 105 yards and a touchdown. Los Altos capped off the weekend with a thrilling 28-24 victory over Mountain View.
